LONDON , June 20, 2014 (European Plastics News (CBNB Abstracts)) – According to PlasticsEurope, plastics production in Europe showed steady positive growth in 2013. PlasticsEurope reports that the global production volume of plastics reached 299 M tonnes in 2013, a 3.9% increase from 288 M tonnes in 2012. China and Europe leads the global plastics production in 2013, with 24.8% and 20%, respectively. Plastics demand in Europe increased by 0.1% to 46 M tonnes in 2013. Between Jan and Feb 2014, Europe exhibited a growth of 7% for the plastics products, almost 2% for the machinery sector and 6.6% for primary plastics.
