SOIGNIES, Belgium , June 19, 2014 (press release) – Bemis Europe increases its shrink bag range with ClearShield™ PRO, thanks to a new technology platform which allowed the development of a film to protect bone-in and hard surface cuts of meat, while offering an outstanding product presentation.

Bemis Europe has developed ClearShield™ PRO for beef, lamb, pork and processed meat producers looking for a solution to significantly reduce high leaker rates and the use of bone guard.

ClearShield™ PRO is a PVdC-free fully coextruded bag offering 100% surface protection with extremely high puncture and abrasion resistance. It will out-perform competing coextruded bags delivering packing efficiency through fewer repacks.

Several processed meat producers across Europe have chosen ClearShield™ PRO as the results showed that the leaker rate was well below the rate they usually observed.

Thanks to its high clarity, gloss, printability, and very good contouring characteristics ClearShield™ PRO offers a striking product presentation, ideally suited for retail applications. A range of seal types is available to further enhance appearance.
