Coveris has launched its new Insulation DuoSmart EPS foamed plastic drinking cup that has a paper banderole, allowing consumers to safely enjoy their hot drinks, Packaging News reported June 16.
The cup is covered with an offset light, protective printed paper banderole that has high thermal resistance. The banderole is also made from renewable resources, specifically virgin paperboard or recycled paperboard.
The sustainable package also includes a ‘zipper’ that consumers could tear off so one could easily take the paper off from the cup to better sort recyclables, according to Packaging News.
