VANCOUVER, British Columbia , June 13, 2014 (press release) – Exclusive glamping-themed party and entertaining line launches June 22 at most Target stores across Canada and the U.S.

Today, Target celebrated the launch of the Poppytalk party and entertaining collection at an intimate event in Vancouver . The glamping-themed collection is part of Target's industry-first collaboration with three top pinners and online influencers to create individual party and entertaining lines, launching throughout 2014. Each capsule collection focuses on entertaining and includes party décor, paper products and serving pieces designed in the aesthetic of each influencer. The design partners are, in order of release, Joy Cho of Oh Joy!, Jan Halvarson of Poppytalk and Kate Arends of Wit & Delight.

"Target has a long history of partnering with influencers to make design accessible to the masses and this latest partnership celebrates a new era of tastemakers with top online influencers," said John Butcher , senior vice president, merchandising, Target Canada. "With our new Canadian stores, we are thrilled to include a Canadian design partner, from the blog Poppytalk in this exciting collaboration. The Poppytalk for Target collection makes throwing a great party easy for our guests with beautifully designed entertaining products."

The glamping-themed Poppytalk collection provides guests with a grownup take on the camping experience and includes elegant Victorian-inspired details and florals in soft, colourful hues to add luxury to any outdoor occasion. The product also expresses femininity with colours and patterns inspired by vintage china. Entertaining items such as reimagined bowls and cake stands in printed corrugate cardboard, along with string lights, lanterns, s'mores skewers and camping stoves bring the collection to life.

"Florals mixed with the lure of the great outdoors was the inspiration behind the Poppytalk for Target collection - we wanted to create an affordable collection that could easily be adaptable to a glamorous party in the backyard or a casual picnic at the beach," said Jan Halvarson , Poppytalk.

The Poppytalk for Target collection consists of more than 20 pieces ranging in price from $3-$20 and will be available at most Target stores across Canada and the U.S. beginning June 22 . For more information on the party and entertaining collections and for store locations, visit www.target.ca.
