Papierfabrik Schoellershammer plans to add 250,000 tonnes/year of recycled containerboard production at its mill in Dueren, Germany, by the end of 2016

LOS ANGELES , June 12, 2014 () – Papierfabrik Schoellershammer is planning to expand its paper mill in Dueren, Germany, by adding 250,000 tonnes/year of recycled containerboard production capacity, reported Euwid on June 12.

The Germany-based papermaker has already received approval from local authorities for the project’s land-use plan. The expanded operation would create direct jobs for 85 people.

The plan includes adding a PM No. 6, with startup by the end of 2016. The machine, which could be second-hand and rebuilt, would produce fluting and linerboard, both based on recycled fiber.
