Kazakhstan Kagazy PLC (the 'Company') is pleased to announce that Denise Valentine has joined its board as a non-executive director. Denise will chair the Company's Remuneration Committee.
Denise has over 20 years of global managerial and investment experience. She has invested in and managed businesses in the US, India, Africa, Malaysia and Latin America. Her work involves complex multinational transactions and joint ventures.
Ten years ago, Denise founded Terranova Capital, which focuses on providing diverse solutions for clients in emerging markets.
Prior to founding Terra Nova Denise was a portfolio manager at Acumen Fund, where she was responsible for developing and executing an international strategy for healthcare investments.
Denise's managerial experience also includes acting as the CEO of VRex, an advanced imaging hardware and software company, along with running the marketing and technical teams of Biotrace, a diagnostics business which was purchased by 3M. Denise also previously managed external investments and Joint Ventures at Pfizer and worked with Merck in a senior marketing management position.
Denise has a BA from Brown University in Business Economics, and a MS in Biologic Sciences and Biochemistry and MBA from Columbia University.
