Hhgregg to open new store in Kendall, Florida, on June 12, bringing to total number of locations to 229 stores in 20 states

Today, leading appliance, electronics and furniture retailer hhgregg (NYSE:HGG), announces the grand opening of its new store in Kendall, Fla. Opening to the public on Thursday, June 12, the store is located at the Shops of Kendall at 12690 SW 88th Street. The Kendall store, a 23,000 square foot location employing more than 40 associates, will provide customers with high-quality product selection, superior customer service and knowledgeable sales associates. To celebrate the store’s grand opening, hhgregg will hold a Grand Opening Sale June 12 – 21 at all Miami area locations.

The Kendall store will open to the public at 10 a.m. on June 12, and the first 250 customers in line will receive a $10 hhgregg gift card. Through June 21, the store will be offering special pricing on products such as televisions, home appliances, furniture and electronics. The store will also be hosting giveaways with prizes including: a five-piece living room package, an LG 55” LED HDTV, a Samsung tablet, and Miami Marlins tickets. Customers will also have the chance to enter the grand prize drawing for a chance to win an LG Stainless Steel Appliance Suite.

Additional grand opening events include:

June 12-14: Free food from El Jeffe’s Fish Taco Food Truck, 12-3 p.m.
June 12: Appearance from Billy the Marlin Mascot and tickets giveaway, 5-7 p.m.
June 14: Salsa Couples Dancing by Salsa Kings Dance Group, 5:30-8 p.m.
