Second of three workers listed as being in a critical condition after April 26 fire at Georgia-Pacific's plywood mill in Corrigan, Texas, dies; one worker remains in critical condition

LOS ANGELES , June 9, 2014 (press release) – A second worker has died after sustaining injuries in an April 26 fire at Georgia-Pacific LLC's plywood mill in Corrigan, Texas, The Lufkin News reported on June 6.

The suspected combustible dust explosion and fire, which happened at about 6:30 p.m. in the plant's bag house, injured seven workers. Three of those workers were listed as being in a critical condition.

Kenny Morris, 58, of Lufkin, passed away on the morning of June 6 at the John S. Dunn Sr. Burn Center at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Morris's death follows that of 56-year-old Charles Wayne Kovar, who died on May 30. One other employee remains in critical condition, the Daily News reported.
