ALEXANDRIA, Virginia , June 4, 2014 () – United States Patent no. D706,419, issued on June 3, was assigned to The Procter and Gamble Co. (Cincinnati).

"Sanitary napkin" was invented by Lisa June Hood (Cincinnati), Signe Christina Larson (Cincinnati) and Christine Gail Luzader (Loveland, Ohio).

The patent was filed on July 1, 2011, under Application No. D/396,562.
