HAMPSHIRE, United Kingdom , June 3, 2014 (press release) – UK based technology partners Edale and AB Graphic International have successfully installed a Digicon 3000 digital finishing system into digital packaging specialist, Innovative Labeling Solutions (ILS) based in Ohio, USA.

Since 2005, when ILS first entered the digital print sector the company’s objective was to strategically grow the digital division as a part of their core business. Over nine years on, ILS portfolio of services is now one of the most comprehensive in the industry. With four HP Indigo 6600 print presses, ILS offers complete solutions for prime labels, flexible packaging, shrink sleeves and folding cartons for consumer product companies. Additionally, with the launch of the first ever HP Indigo 20000 alongside the Digicon 3000, ILS has positioned itself to reach an even greater segment of the consumer packaging goods industry.

The Digicon 3000 is a 762mm (30 inch) wide digital print finishing system that enables printers to convert pressure sensitive labels and flexible packaging when run inline with the HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press. The partnership between Edale and AB Graphic showcases the companies open approach to innovative engineering, as well as bringing over 100 years combined technical experience to this new product.

“Edale prides itself on solving problems and working with our customers and suppliers to develop the right products as markets change and evolve, and alongside our technology partner AB Graphic we have successfully achieved this with the Digicon 3000.” comments James Boughton, Managing Director of Edale.

Jay Dollries, owner and CEO of ILS, concludes “The partnership between AB Graphic International and Edale, in conjunction with ILS’s involvement in all phases of the Digicon’s development, has resulted in the most unique, advanced digital finishing line in the marketplace. As ILS continually focuses on growing our presence in the flexible packaging and shrink sleeve marketplaces the combination of the HP Indigo 20000 and the Digicon 3000 will be one of our major catalysts”.
