Materiaux Blanchet announces three-week summer shutdowns at its Quebec lumber mills in Amos and St-Pamphile

LOS ANGELES , June 3, 2014 () – Materiaux Blanchet Inc. has announced three-week summer shutdowns at its lumber mills in Quebec, according to a report by Eugene, Oregon-based industry news service Random Lengths.

The company said it would curtail its Amos sawmill from July 7, while its sawmill in St-Pamphile will shut down on July 20.

According to the company's website, the two sawmill complexes have a combined annual capacity of more than 300 million board ft. with the St-Pamphile sawmill producing white spruce/balsam fir and the Amos sawmill producing black spruce/Jack pine.
