Eurasia Packaging Fair launching Packaging Printing Technologies section in 2014; event will be held Sept. 18-21, in Istanbul

MAHARASHTRA, India , May 30, 2014 () – Eurasia Packaging Fair has announced that it is launching a Packaging Printing Technologies section in 2014. Berkan Oner of Eurasia Packaging Fair said "With the Tuyap's two new halls being finished in time for the 2014 edition, we will be at last be able to extend the sold out show. The Print for Packaging sector fits in perfectly with the rest of the exhibition, and will offer something of great interest to our existing visitor base, whilst attracting new buyers to the show."

The Packaging Printing Technologies Special Section will showcase the very latest from the print for packaging sector to the 45, 000 manufacturers who visit the fair, highlighting innovations in the sector. Offset, Flexo, Rotogravure and Serigraphic printing machines will feature, as will preprinting systems, quality control systems, label printing machines and coating & lamination products and systems. This will sit alongside a comprehensive education programme, highlighting developments in the industry and case studies of innovative brands.

This development comes following the success of the 19th edition of the Eurasia Packaging Fair. Mr. Sadettin KORKUT, Chairman of the board of The Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) comments, "Eurasia Packaging Fair is a driving force to Turkey's growing packaging industry, an industry which is valued at US$14bn. By 2023 the sectors value will reach US$30bn, US$10bn of which is exported."

Chairman of Tuyap Fair Convention and Congress Center and co-owner of Reed Tuyap, Mr Bulent Unal gave an inspiring account of his contribution to the industry, having launched the event which has become the largest in the Eurasia region 19 years ago. He explained, "We must look towards the future for the industry and encourage the next generations to continue to keep the sector alive whilst continuing to showcase innovation." The ASD co-hosted an awards evening which celebrated the very best young packaging designers, and innovation was at the forefront during the professional education programme. Leading Turkish design agencies Tasarm Ussu and Oya Design delivered branding and design insights, whilst Prof. Dr. Gordon L. Robertson from Queensland University spoke about the development of Sustainable Packaging in the Food Industry.

Sold signs throughout the bustling halls indicated that business was being done between the 45,000 visitors, who attended both from Turkey and from a record 83 countries, and local and international suppliers from 42 countries. Sunny Wang, Sales Director of Chinese company Shangdong Fully Packagng Materials Co., Ltd stated ''I am highly delighted to be here for the first year at the Eurasia Packaging Fair. I have made a large number of contacts and have been able to reach the Eurasian market successfully in four days both on my stand and during my company presentation session."

Tuyap hosted VIP buyer groups from 19 countries. Aysegul Alemdag, Purchasing Manager of a leading Istanbul cosmetics company BFF KOZMETIK A.S. explained her reasons for attending, "I am hear to find new product packaging solutions for our beauty range, Eurasia Packaging Fair is the place where I can find a variety of products to suit my needs in one place."

Eurasia Packaging Fair 2014 will be held on the 18th - 21st September, at the Tuyap Fair Convention and Congress Center.
