Brown recycled containerboard prices in the U.K. are down another ₤10 (US$17) to ₤15 per tonne and could drop again in June, although white testliner prices are steady, reported Euwid on May 28.
Despite ample supply and negative influence from the brown grades, white testliner prices are holding up for now but could decline as they are under downward pressure, say market players.
The market for recycled corrugated case materials is being undermined by an abundance of supply due to new capacity that has come onstream and created oversupplied conditions, Euwid reported.
