Japan's chemicals output in March down 2.3% month-over-month, with plastics production down 2.4%, according to data from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

LONDON , May 19, 2014 () – Data from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) revealed that the country's chemicals output in Mar 2014 declined by 2.3% from Feb 2014. Its plastics production dropped by 2.4% from Feb 2014. Japan's total industrial production in Mar 2014 increased by 0.3% and 7% compared with those in Feb 2014 and Mar 2013, respectively.
