SUSSEX, Wisconsin , May 2, 2014 (press release) – Partnership expands printers’ material options, boosts Mosaica’s dry toner digital capabilities

The Mosaica Group, a leading distributor of graphic arts equipment, software and supplies servicing companies throughout the Midwest, today announced that it has partnered with Mohawk – North America’s largest privately owned manufacturer of fine papers, envelopes and specialty substrates for digital printing – to distribute select Mohawk Specialty Digital Products.

Together with Mohawk, The Mosaica Group now offers more dry toner digital capabilities than ever, combined with a large selection of digital papers and synthetic substrates for a wide variety of digital applications.

This expanded line of digital paper and synthetic substrates offers printers more material variety, increasing their capability to dive deeper into dry toner digital printing.

Mohawk synthetic products are engineered and quality checked to provide unmatched printability, opacity, toner adhesion and image vibrancy, and are compatible to run on a variety of Xerox, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Canon, Kodak and other digital presses.

At DSCOOP9, Mohawk announced an expanded portfolio of synthetic substrates – including new Mohawk Synthetic Paper with i-Tone – which recently achieved top rating at RIT’s HP Indigo Certification program, earning three-star certification in all categories.

“We’re looking forward to this strategic partnership that will enhance our line of high-end digital materials,” said The Mosaica Group President and CEO Randy Peters. “This is another great addition to our offer of comprehensive printing solutions.”

In conjunction with the partnership with Mohawk, The Mosaica Group has hired Mario De Luca as Technical Product Manager for Dry Toner Digital. With more than 10 years of sales experience, De Luca will champion the Mohawk portfolio and Mosaica’s dry toner digital capabilities throughout the Midwest.

“We’re pleased to offer our digital products and digital expertise to The Mosaica Group’s clients,” said Mike Madura, Vice President, Digital at Mohawk. “It is a great compliment to Mosaica’s robust digital print and sublimation portfolio.”
