Russia's fish catch down 1.7% year-over-year since start of 2014 to 1.7 million tonnes, according to government statistics

– Russia's fish catch has fallen 1.7% or by 29,800 tonnes since the start of this year to 1.7 million tonnes, the Russian Fisheries Committee said, quoting data from the Fishing Monitoring System and Communications Center.
In foreign jurisdictions, Russian fishermen caught 126,100 tonnes of fish, 45,800 tonnes less than a year earlier. In regions covered by conventions and in the open waters of the ocean, the catch was up by 11,000 tonnes to 53,000 tonnes.
