HAMPSHIRE, United Kingdom , May 13, 2014 (press release) – Manufactures of Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Personal Care and FMCG cartons, Reelvison, have just installed their second Edale flatbed die cutter 510 wide to run in line with their existing Edale machinery.

Based in Lancashire, UK, Reelvision purchased their first Edale FL-5 Carton printing machine in 2007. A few years on and their growth within the industry resulted in the installation of a second Edale FL-5 this time with an FDC included. These Edale machines have been paramount in seeing Reelvision secure their position as a revolutionary supplier for short run printed folding cartons with PS9000:2011 pharmaceutical accreditation.

Reelvision will be using this specific machine to print high quality cartons which often include embossing, Braille and die cutting in a single pass and can print up to 7 colour plus a varnish.

Reelvision’s Sales Director, Deborah Greenwood comments “The second FDC offered a slightly larger die cutting platform, this helped us expand our offering to customers to include the shelf ready packaging that complimented the primary packs. Every other feature was the same spec as the first machine and this gave us the flexibility to plan on both presses. This press has doubled our capability and given us the spare capacity needed to offer industry breaking lead-times.

The FDC makes cost effective, short run folding carton production a reality. With a maximum speed of 10,000 impressions per hour, the ability to nest products up to five across and the ability to reconfigure the machine for a wide range of carton sizes and forms without specialist tooling ensures that downtime and substrate wastage is kept to a minimum. Quick to set up and easy to handle Edale’s FDC fit Reelvision’s brief perfectly.

Reelvision’s Deborah Greenwood continues “As we now continue to grow, we are working closely with the team at Edale to ensure we keep ahead of the growth curve and investment in future capacity is high on the priority list.”

Reelvision sell on service and being based in the UK, Edale were able to offer prompt and consistent response times, react quickly and be onsite same day if required. Edale’s agility in responding to customer’s needs ensures they are able to work with a clear understanding of the brief given and provide the right solution.

Edale’s Managing Director, James Boughton, concludes “Performance is core to Edale and with our focus on designing and engineering new and improved products to suit customer requirements we look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship with Reelvision and working together to ensure maximum growth.”
