Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (1712/KOLNP/2013 A) filed by Unicharm Corp., Japan, on May 30, 2013, for a 'disposable diaper.' Inventors include Toshiyasu Yoshioka, Yoshio Ono and Shunsuke Masaki.
The application for the patent was published on April 11, under issue no. 15/2014. According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In order for a guardian or wearer to know when to change a disposable diaper, the disposable diaper is provided with an external component comprising an abdominal region and a back region, and an internal component. Both the abdominal region and the back region of the external component have a plurality of elastic waist-wrapping parts that extend parallel to each other in the transverse direction. The external component has a circular waist gather region (RW), an abdomen-pressing region, a back- pressing region, and a circular fastening region. The area of the back-pressing region is smaller than the area of the abdomen-pressing region, the contractile force in the back-pressing region is smaller than the contractile force in the abdomen- pressing region and is 0.35 N or less, and the contractile force per unit width in the fastening region is 0.45 N/25 mm or more." The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 4, 2011, under International application No. PCT/JP2011/075501.
