Ukrainian meat-processing production up 14.2% year-over-year to 107,071 tons in March, according to government statistics; production up 6.3% from February

May 8, 2014 (press release) – In March, meat-processing enterprises increased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 6.3% or 6,327 tons over February, to 107,071 tons, the State Statistics Service said.

In March 2014, production of meat and by-products of the first category rose by 14.2% or 13,351 tons over March 2013.

In January-March 2014, meat-processing enterprises increased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 15.8% or 41,784 tons over January-March 2013, to 305,486 tons.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in February meat-processing enterprises increased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 3.6% or 3,159 tons over January to 100,744 tons.

In 2013, meat-processing enterprises increased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 14.6% or 148,759 tons over 2012 to 1,169,434 tons.
