Papa Murphy's announces opening of its first El, Paso, Texas, location

EL PASO, Texas , May 6, 2014 () – Papa Murphy's Pizza, which bills itself as the country's largest take-and-bake pizza chain, has opened its first El Paso location at 12135 Montwood at Zaragoza, the Vancouver, Wash., chain announced Monday.

The chain sells uncooked pizzas that customers bake at home. It also sells salads, side dishes and desserts, it reported.

The El Paso franchise is owned by El Paso businessman Sonny Patel, who last year opened the Magic Bistro restaurant on the West Side with two other partners.

The chain has more than 1,425 franchised and corporate-owned stores in 38 states, Canada and United Arab Emirates.

For its grand opening Saturday, Papa Murphy's will give the first 100 El Paso customers a large pepperoni pizza, and sell large pepperoni pizzas for $5 each through the day. It operates 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Sunday-Thursday, and 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday and Saturday. More info: papamurphys.com
