Canadian sawmills produce 4.7 million m3 of softwood and hardwood lumber in February, down 4.1% year-over-year: Statistics Canada

May 6, 2014 (press release) – Canadian sawmills produced 4,702,900 m3 of softwood and hardwood lumber in Feb. 2014, a drop of 6.4% compared with output in the previous month, and 4.1% below production in Feb. 2013, according to data from Statistics Canada.

Sawmills shipped 4,038,100 m3 of lumber in February, a decline of 9.5% from shipments in January.
