Stella-Jones shareholders vote to elect all nominees proposed as directors, 86.84% of outstanding shares represented at annual meeting in Montreal

MONTREAL , May 1, 2014 (press release) – Stella-Jones Inc. (TSX: SJ) has announced its director election results following its annual meeting of shareholders, held today.

All of the nominees proposed as directors in the Company’s Management Information Circular, dated March 20, 2014, were elected on a vote by show of hands. In total 59,711,374 shares were represented in person or by proxy at the meeting, representing approximately 86.84% of the outstanding shares as of the record date of March 19, 2014.

The proxies received by management for the election of directors were as follows: 56,928,115 proxy votes were cast for the election of Tom A. Bruce Jones, representing 95.66% of the proxy votes cast; 56,750,822 proxy votes were cast for the election of Gianni Chiarva, representing 95.37% of the proxy votes cast; 58,415,454 proxy votes were cast for the election of George J. Bunze, representing 98.16% of the proxy votes cast; 57,640,591 proxy votes were cast for the election of Brian McManus, representing 96.86% of the proxy votes cast; 53,122,580 proxy votes were cast for the election of Nycol Pageau-Goyette, representing 89.27% of the proxy votes cast; 58,764,873 proxy votes were cast for the election of Simon Pelletier, representing 98.75% of the proxy votes cast; 50,330,890 proxy votes were cast for the election of Daniel Picotte, representing 84.58% of the proxy votes cast; 57,810,784 proxy votes were cast for the election of John Barrie Shineton, representing 97.15% of the proxy votes cast; and 58,760,777 proxy votes were cast for the election of Mary L. Webster, representing 98.74% of the proxy votes cast.
