Hooters to offer free entree of up to US$10 with any drink purchase to mothers on May 11 at its US locations in celebration of Mother's Day

ATLANTA , April 30, 2014 (press release) – You have one job: Make mom feel special. Don’t mess it up.

From the mother of all wing-joints, Hooters is picking up the tab for your mom on Mother’s Day. On Sunday, May 11, kids are invited to bring their hardworking, fun-loving mothers to Hooters for a free meal.

“Moms have the hardest job in the world; they’re on the clock 24/7, 365 days a year,” said Andrew Pudduck, vice president of marketing, Hooters of America. “It’s about time to skip the tea sandwiches and doilies and truly thank mom for fixing boo-boos, doing endless loads of laundry and drying our tears during that last breakup. Hooters rolled out the ‘orange’ carpet for 35,000 moms last year on Mother’s Day, and this year we want to show even more moms how much they mean to us!”

On Sunday, May 11, mom can choose her preferred entrée, including Hooters world-famous traditional bone-in or boneless chicken wings with buffalo sauce favorites, ranging in heat from mild to 911, as well as signature sauces and rubs on select Hooters menus, such as teriyaki-style samurai, lemon pepper and chipotle honey. With Hooters expanded menu, moms can also choose from a variety of entrees, including salads, sandwiches, seafood dishes and other delicious options.

In order to capture mom’s special treatment in action, all guests are invited to share photos of their Mother’s Day visits to Hooters via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with the #StepIntoAwesome hashtag. The best mother-loving moments will be featured on Hooters’ Step Into Awesome website, StepIntoAwesome.com.

The Mother’s Day deal includes a complimentary entrée up to $10 with any drink purchase at any of the 345 Hooters locations across the U.S. on Sunday, May 11. Hooters wants mom to relax on her special day so there is no coupon required to activate the deal, however, she must have at least one of her offspring present to dine in at her favorite Hooters location.
