Graphic Packaging receives 40%, six-year job creation tax credit for planned expansion of its Marion, Ohio, production facility; expansion will create 30 full-time positions

COLUMBUS, Ohio , April 30, 2014 (press release) – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the approval of assistance for 14 projects set to create 1,095 jobs and retain 4,823 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in $48.9 million in new payroll, and spur more than $148.4 million in investment across Ohio. Projects approved by the TCA include:

Process Plus Holdings, Inc. (Location TBD) expects to create 25 full-time positions, generating $2.5 million in additional annual payroll as a result of the company's expansion project at a to-be-determined project location. Process Plus is an engineering and architecture firm that focuses on serving the chemical, pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries. The TCA approved a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

CENTRAL

Graphic Packaging International, Inc., City of Marion (Marion Co.) expects to create 30 full-time positions, generating $708,864 in additional annual payroll and retaining $10.4 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Marion (Marion Co.). Graphic Packaging produces folding cartons, coated recycled boxboard and specialty bag packaging. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

HOMAGE, LLC, City of Columbus (Franklin Co.) expects to create 28 positions, generating $1.7 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $1.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's new location project in the City of Columbus

(Franklin Co.). HOMAGE is a retailer of vintage inspired clothing and accessories. The TCA approved a 45 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Keihin Thermal Technology of America, Inc., Village of Mount Sterling (Madison Co.) expects to create 90 full-time positions, generating $3 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $9.3 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the Village of Mount Sterling (Madison Co.). Keihin Thermal Technology of America supplies the automotive industry with engine, transmission and climate control products. The TCA approved a 45 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

ReConserve of Ohio, Inc., Claridon Twp. (Marion Co.) expects to create 16 full-time positions, generating $670,000 in additional annual payroll and retaining $1.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's new location project in Claridon Twp. (Marion Co.). ReConserve recycles bakery, cereal grain, snack foods and related food by-products. The TCA approved a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

NORTHWEST

International Paper Company, City of Kenton (Hardin Co.) expects to create 125 full-time positions, generating $4.2 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $18.4 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Kenton (Hardin Co.).

International Paper manufactures paper and packaging materials. The TCA approved a 60 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project. Sauder Woodworking Co., Village of Archbold (Fulton Co.) expects to create 150 full-time positions, generating $4.8 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $57.9 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the Village of Archbold (Fulton Co.). Sauder Woodworking manufactures and sells ready-to-assemble furniture to retail distribution channels. The TCA approved a 60 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Unique-Chardan, Inc., Village of Bryan (Williams Co.) expects to create 30 full-time positions, generating $900,000 in additional annual payroll and retaining $1.2 in existing payroll as a result of the company's retention project in the Village of Bryan (Williams Co.). Unique-Chardan is an automotive die-cut fabricator of non-metallic materials. The TCA approved a 45 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Walgreen Co., City of Perrysburg (Wood Co.) expects to create 75 full-time positions, generating $2.7 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $25 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Perrysburg (Wood Co.). Walgreen is the largest drug retailing chain in the United States. The TCA approved a 60 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

SOUTHWEST

AdvancePierre Foods, Inc., City of Blue Ash (Hamilton Co.) expects to create 43 full-time positions, generating $4.6 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $7.3 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Blue Ash (Hamilton Co.). AdvancePierre Foods makes and distributes sandwiches, bakery products and chicken, beef and pork products. The TCA approved a 55 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Interstate Warehousing of Ohio, LLC, City of Hamilton (Butler Co.) expects to create 25 full-time positions, generating $900,000 in additional annual payroll and retaining $5.9 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Hamilton (Butler Co.). Interstate Warehousing is a cold storage warehousing company. The TCA approved a 40 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Kenworth of Cincinnati, Inc., City of Sharonville (Hamilton Co.) expects to create 40 full-time positions, generating $1.6 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $2.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Sharonville (Hamilton Co.). Kenworth, a division of The Palmer Truck Group, supports the transportation industry in the fields of service, financing, leasing and rental options. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Ohio National Financial Services, Inc., City of Montgomery (Hamilton Co.) expects to create 270 full-time positions, generating $15.7 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $64.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company's expansion project in the City of Montgomery (Hamilton Co.). Ohio National markets a variety of insurance and financial products. The TCA approved a 60 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

UGN Inc., City of Monroe (Warren Co.) expects to create 148 full-time positions, generating $5 million in additional annual payroll as a result of the company's new location project in the City of Monroe (Warren Co.). UGN, Inc. manufactures automotive parts. The TCA approved a 65 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
