Tsingtao Brewery reports Q1 net earnings of 586M yuan, up 20% from year-ago period as operating revenue rises 17.4% to 7.41B yuan

Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600600, SEHK: 0168) revealed operating revenue of CNY 7.408 billion in the first quarter of 2014, rising 17.36% from a year earlier. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached CNY 586 million, hiking 20.02% from CNY 488 million a year ago.
In the reporting period, the company sold beer of 2.18 million kiloliters, leaping 19.3%. Sales volume of major brand reached 1.17 million kiloliters, increasing 11.7%.
