LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas , April 29, 2014 (press release) – Chuck E. Cheese’s will open its brand new 14,200-square-foot family restaurant and gaming facility at Shackleford Crossing in Little Rock, Ark., on Monday, May 5, with a fundraiser benefiting Arkansas Children’s Hospital. On grand opening day, the company will make a $2,000 donation to the private hospital and contribute 15 percent of sales from customers who mention they are there to support the cause.

“At Chuck E. Cheese’s we cannot contain our enthusiasm for our new Little Rock store or the partnership with Arkansas Children’s Hospital,” said Les Lehner, Chuck E. Cheese’s vice president of real estate. “We want every child to have the chance to be a kid, and ensuring care, love and hope for every one of them is a goal shared by both organizations.”

Located just a short, four-minute drive south of the previous location on Rodney Parham Road, the new Shackleford Crossing Chuck E. Cheese’s provides further access for more family fun with twice the amount of games as the previous store including presently popular Sno Cross, Fruit Ninja, Guitar Hero® and Power Drop as well as classic family favorites such as NBA Hoops. It also features the Circle of Lights stage, a fully digital, screen-based package showcasing the updated Chuck E. Cheese rock star character voiced by Bowling for Soup’s front man, Jaret Reddick.

“We are grateful that Chuck E. Cheese’s has chosen Arkansas Children’s Hospital as the recipient of their generosity,” said Justin DeLille, CFRE, director of corporate giving, Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation. “This gift will help ACH provide care, love and hope to sick and injured children who need it most.”

Originally opened in 1912 as Arkansas Children’s Home Society, Arkansas Children’s Hospital is now one of the largest private children’s hospitals in the U.S. – housing 370 beds and spanning 29 city blocks.

In addition to all of the excitement of the fundraiser and grand opening, the Little Rock Fire Department will be on site teaching fire safety skills.

Chuck E. Cheese’s Shackleford Crossing store will operate Sundays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. For a complete listing of all restaurant locations and store hours, visit: http://www.chuckecheese.com/discover/locations.
