ST. Paul, Minnesota , April 29, 2014 (press release) – Center enables faster innovation and customer collaboration to solve packaging challenges and protect brands

Demonstrating its commitment to protecting manufacturers' brands and advancing packaging innovation and design, H.B. Fuller has invested $1 million in a Packaging Center of Excellence at its North American headquarters. The new facility, officially opening April 29, is accessible year round for robust packaging engineering and technical services.

Despite adhesives' ability to have a large effect on the consumer's experience, while also impacting brand reputation and packaging design, they can be overlooked as they represent less than three percent of packaging's total cost. With the support of the new Packaging Center of Excellence, H.B. Fuller's packaging adhesive experts connect manufacturers to expertise, technology, application and equipment to help them speed up the problem-solving and innovation process. The in-depth collaboration can lead to new advancements and can aid in the protection of manufacturers' brands and improve consumers' experiences with their products.

"This center has been created to drive the industry forward and help customers protect their assets and their brands as well as find new ways to reduce costs," said Steve Ringsdore, vice president, Americas Packaging and Converting, at H.B. Fuller. "But it also will be used to provide comprehensive training for our technical and sales team so that their market expertise delivers quantifiable value to our customers."

At the Packaging Center of Excellence in North America, H.B. Fuller is equipped to address customers' packaging adhesives needs across a broad range of applications, substrates and environmental conditions. Manufacturers can work directly with H.B. Fuller experts to develop customized solutions without having to shut down their production lines and lose valuable time. The collaboration space includes end-of-line packaging, container labeling, flexible packaging, retail-ready packaging, handle and packaging reinforcement, and specialty packaging.
