China Forest Products Imports -Logs and Lumber Feb. 2014 / Pulp March 2014 Data
* Lumber - In February 2014 China imported 1,500,000 m3 of lumber at an average cost of $301 per m3. Lumber imports are up 46% compared to February 2013 and up 22% YTD compared to the same period last year.
* Logs - In February 2014 China imported 3,560,000 m3 of logs at an average price of $232 per m3. Log imports are up 60% compared to February 2013 and up 38% YTD compared to the same period last year.
* Month over month, pulp imports are up 9% for March, lumber imports are down 21% for February and log imports are down 15% for February. Month over month, prices are up 1% for pulp for March, down 5% for lumber for February and up 2% for logs for February 2014.
