LOS ANGELES , April 23, 2014 () – Label paper producers in Germany have succeeded in raising prices in the first quarter and are gearing up for another increase in the third quarter, reported Euwid on April 23.

The higher prices come after a long period of flat pricing for label paper in Germany, but producers seem to want more and are hoping orders remain strong to give them another price hike next quarter.

Compared to the prior quarter, first-quarter German label paper prices are up 1.5%-2% for wet strength, alkali-resistant grades and up by as much as 3% for non-wet strength grades, Euwid reported.
