Mondi Steti paper mill in Czech Republic adds complete chemical additives line from Papcel; project involves mill's PM No. 7 and includes discharging, preparation, storage and dosing of various chemicals, such as kaolin, NaOH, as well as cationic starch

LITOVEL, Czech Republic , April 17, 2014 (press release) – A contract with the company Mondi Štětí seated in the Czech Republic was signed on 30. April 2013. This contract concerned the provision of a complete technology of discharging, preparation, storage and dosing of chemical additives, namely kaolin, ASA sizing agent, aluminium sulphate, NaOH, PAC and, last but not least, the delivery contained the preparation, storage and dosing of cationic starch. The contract concerned a complete chemicalization of PM 7 line. This project was conceived as a turnkey project. At the end of October 2013, it was put into operation and the complete delivery was handed over to the customer.

The preparation line of chemicals for the company Zavod Gazetnoi Bumagi in Shklov, Belarus, is another important delivery of the company PAPCEL, a.s., singed in November 2012. This is a turnkey project, including installation of the stock preparation line, the paper machine and, last but not least, a complete chemicalization of the line.

For the chemicalization of the line, these include particularly deliveries of the preparation of retention agent and the preparation of demineralized water, thanks to which we will be able to enlarge our production program and extend the company’s portfolio on the basis of long-term experience in the paper industry.

The scope of deliveries for this vast project should be mentioned. They included a delivery of Big-Bag stations (including the preparation equipment, storage and dosing), titanium white, FeOx and kaolin, which represents 1/3 of the line chemicalization. In addition, there is the equipment for the preparation, storage and dosing of aluminium sulphate, wet strength, biocide, fixation agent, defoamer, sulphuric acid, flocculating agent, sodium hydroxide, preparation of colours and, last but not least, a system of water heating.

Projection works and construction works on production documentation are in progress. In course of the processing, we are looking for synergies between functionality and economy of new equipment. Customer’s satisfaction is a priority for our company.
