UK private-label wine prices up 7.2% to £4.78 in 2013, data shows; average price of still wine up 4.5% year-over-year to £5.05 in 52-week period ending Feb. 1

LONDON , April 15, 2014 () – News: Private label wine prices rose by an average of 7.2% to GBP4.78 (USD7.9) in the UK during 2013, reports Harpers.co.uk, citing figures collected by IRI. The average price of still wine increased 4.5% year-on-year (y-o-y) to GBP5.05 (USD8.4) in the 52 weeks ended February 1 2014, according to the IRI figures. The figures also showed that sales volume of private label wines declined 0.3% y-o-y during the 52 weeks ended February 1 2014, while sales value of private label wines increased 6.9%.
