WEENER, Germany , April 14, 2014 (press release) – Interpack 2014 is the perfect platform for Weener Plastic Packaging Group – Weener and Plasticum – to present their exciting innovations. A special Innovation Area is created on the stand to present the latest technologies in an eye-catching setting. These technologies can be applied in different markets, such as Personal Care, Food & Beverage and Home Care. This fancy area will be complemented by product applications and novelties, which are shown at the remaining area of the stand.

A new patented cost-effective dosing system has been developed: the Pure Dispense technology. The applied membrane is a sustainable solution for an accurate and controlled dispense of various formulations, thanks to the efficient and direct movement of the membrane when squeezing the tube or bottle. It is perfectly suitable for Personal Care solutions, such as creams, gels and lotions.

The proprietary dispensing valve technologies of Weener and Plasticum are also key in the innovation arena. The MaxiDose and Clean Squeeze technologies – integrated in many different closure designs and sizes – have proven their success in the Food and Personal Care markets. Many renowned brands already adopted these technologies for their products.

Another significant dispensing solution is the Integrated Spray technology for aerosols, which has been included in several spray caps and actuators for the Personal Care and Home Care market. These cost-effective one-piece spray products can have various integrated inserts and break-up mechanisms that offer different spray patterns, depending on the customers’ requirements.

The Nutri-Line is a new generation packaging for infant nutrition. Enhanced hygiene was the key element for the development of this alternative closing and dosing system. An innovative hinged lid with pre-assembled scoop ensures a safe and hygienic dosing of infant formulas. Nutri-Line has been designed for standard tinplate and composite cans and is available in two diameters, 99 mm and 127 mm. The lids can be customized to exploit brand identity.
