April 9, 2014 () – Finnish-Swedish forest industry company Stora Enso's Ingerois Mill in Finland is developing lighter packaging board. The aim is to lighten paperboard packaging by 1% a year. A lighter paperboard benefits everyone: it uses less raw material, storage and transport are easier, and there is less packaging waste. The paperboard from the Ingerois Mill is mainly sold to the pharmaceuticals and food industries where the product safety of packaging and hygiene are very important.
