NEW DELHI , April 8, 2014 () – USA based Johnson & Johnson Consumer Co Inc filed patent application for topical sunscreen compositions. The inventors are Susan Daly and Selcan Tokgoz-Engrand.

Johnson & Johnson Consumer Co Inc filed the patent application on Sept. 26, 2012. The patent application number is 2991/DEL/2012 A. The international classification number is A61K.

According to the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, "Substantially anhydrous compositions including at least 10% by weight of a Cz 01 C3 mono-alcohol, a solid, organic UV-filter dissolved therein; and an oil portion including one or more oils, the oil portion having an inter-facial tension with water of greater than 9 and less than 13.9. The composition has a volume fraction of oil portion relative to the sum of the 5 oil portion plus C2 or Cj mono alcohol that is greater than 0.091."
