West Fraser acquires Travis Lumber sawmill and lumber manufacturing operations in Mansfield, Arkansas, plans to invest in lumber mill to expand capacity to 150 mmbf/year

West Fraser announced today that it has acquired Travis Lumber Company’s sawmill and lumber manufacturing operations based in Mansfield, Arkansas. Travis Lumber has operated at the site since 1988 and the mill produced more than 100 million board feet of lumber in 2013. West Fraser plans to invest additional capital in the mill to expand annual production capacity to approximately 150 million board feet.

West Fraser currently owns and operates two sawmills in Arkansas as well as sawmills in neighbouring Texas and Louisiana.
West Fraser is an integrated wood products company producing lumber, wood chips, LVL, MDF, plywood, pulp and newsprint. The Company has operations in western Canada and the southern United States.
