SALT LAKE CITY , March 5, 2014 (press release) – Packsize expands to Southern California its proprietary corrugated production in response to growing consumer goods supplier and retailer markets for On Demand Packaging®.

Packsize International today announced the expansion of its z-Fold™ corrugated production in Southern California, which will provide greater access and improved delivery times to the company's Inland Empire customers. A proprietary, 97 percent recyclable corrugated material designed specifically for On Demand Packaging®, z-Fold™ gives Packsize customers the ability to control time and costs associated with their carton packaging.

Driven by several factors, including the need to balance operational quality with innovation, a continued push toward lean manufacturing, and the connected consumers' increased expectations for speedier supplier response, Packsize continues to receive strong adoption of On Demand Packaging® across U.S. manufacturing sectors, including Southern California, which accounts for more than half of all manufacturing establishments in that state.

The expanded production for z-Fold™ from a paper mill outside of Fresno will increase Packsize delivery times by at least 95 percent in Southern California. "While reducing the delivery distance and carbon footprint for our customers is important in meeting demand requirements for this region, these customers will continue to derive the best that On Demand Packaging® offers, including less waste, lower shipping costs, decreased damage rates, and increased customer satisfaction," said CEO Hanko Kiessner.
