Tobacco production output in Armenia up 53.1% year-over-year in January to 4.75B drams, statistics show; 984.3 million cigarettes manufactured in January, up 76.1%

YEREVAN, Armenia , March 5, 2014 () – Tobacco production output rose by 53.1% to 4,751.3 million drams (in comparable prices) in Armenia in January compared to the same month of 2013, ArmStat reported.

Tobacco industry accounted for about 10.2% of the processing industry in the period.

According to statistics, a total of 984.3 millions cigarettes were manufactured in the country in January, an increase of 76.1% compared to 2013 January levels. ($1=414.16drams).N.V. -0-
