YORK, Pennsylvania , February 26, 2014 () – Graham Packaging Co. will cut its workforce starting in March, according to a WARN notice filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry.

Pennsylvania's WARN Act aims to protect workers and their families by requiring 60 days' notice for major workforce reduction.

The Manchester Township-based manufacturer will permanently lay off 55 workers effective March 24, May 30 and July 15.

Graham is a leading U.S. supplier of plastic containers for hot-fill juice and juice drinks, sports drinks, drinkable yogurt and smoothies, nutritional supplements, wide-mouth food, dressings, condiments and beers.
