Cosmetic packaging provider Quadpack purchases Spanish screen-printing company Krampak; company provides decoration services, including screen-printing, tampography, thermal printing, digital printing and laser engraving

MORANGIS, France , February 12, 2014 (press release) – Cosmetic packaging provider Quadpack announces that it has purchased Krampak, a well-established Spanish screen-printing company based in Torelló, in the heart of Catalonia’s Cosmetic Valley. The newest member of the Quadpack group of companies will benefit from a substantial investment to upgrade its facilities over the next few months. Once complete, Krampak will help improve efficiencies, accelerate response times and increase flexibility for Quadpack’s customers.

Quadpack CEO Tim Eaves comments: “With this move, we are responding to the needs of the market. Our clients are increasingly demanding shorter lead times to help them react tactically to market changes. What’s more, combined with our facilities at Technotraf Wood Packaging, we will be able to offer a host of manufacturing and finishing services right here in Europe, from bespoke wooden components, through screen-printing, spray painting and, eventually, warehousing.

“Nevertheless, sourcing in Asia will still be an important part of what we do. Technological and economical benefits continue to exist in that territory. What we are doing in Spain essentially helps overcome some of the logistical shortfalls,” Eaves continues.

While serious investment is planned, Krampak’s operations will continue uninterrupted. The company provides decoration services to the beauty industry, including screen-printing, tampography, thermal printing, digital printing and laser engraving. A relaunch of the revamped facilities is planned for September this year.
