VALLEY FORGE, Pennsylvania , February 11, 2014 (press release) – CertainTeed Corporation is expanding its industry-leading color palette through the introduction of five deluxe colors to CedarBoards™ insulated vinyl siding and an additional eight colors to Monogram® 46 Double 5-inch and Double 5-inch Dutchlap vinyl siding. The complementary hues can be mixed and matched with many other siding styles, trim and accessories, combining virtually unlimited Freedom of Choice™ with sustainable, long-lasting curb appeal.

“We are proud to offer one of the most market responsive and on-trend siding product lines available, which means adding more design options without sacrificing performance,” says Brian Kirn, product manager for CertainTeed Siding. “Our energy-efficient CedarBoards and Monogram 46 siding both coordinate back with other styles, profiles and accessories within the CertainTeed siding product family, giving homeowners the freedom to create their own unique and distinctive home exterior.”

With the addition of Pacific Blue, Sable Brown, Autumn Red, Spruce, Hearthstone, Forest, Charcoal Gray and Flagstone, Monogram 46 vinyl siding boasts the widest low-gloss color selection in the industry, with 33 solid colors, eight wood-tone blends and over 40 coordinating trim colors. CedarBoards insulated vinyl siding also adds Pacific Blue, Sable Brown, Spruce, Charcoal Gray and Flagstone, bringing its total to 24 colors. The deluxe hues are part of a spectrum of siding colors ranging from deep, rich shades, and semi-transparent stained blends to popular neutrals. All vinyl siding product lines utilize the PermaColor™ System with guaranteed Lifetime Fade Protection, impact resistance and durability.

Available in three classic styles with the natural look of painted or stained cedar, Monogram 46 offers many design possibilities while standing up to the elements. Its RigidForm™ 220 technology is designed to withstand wind load pressures of up to 220 miles per hour. In addition, Monogram features the CertiLock™ locking system, with self-aligning multiple bends that snap together with an audible “click” to ensure a secure fit and more consistent installation. It is also available in extra-long lengths.

Manufactured with high recycled content, molded from real cedar boards and backed with polystyrene insulation, CedarBoards provides the look of wide-board wood siding, while boosting a home’s energy efficiency. Its enhanced thermal performance helps block sound infiltration and provides added strength and rigidity for outstanding impact resistance. CedarBoards are available in five traditional styles and two extra-length profiles.

Both Monogram 46 and CedarBoards are virtually maintenance-free, feature a patented TrueTexture™ rough cedar finish, never need painting, are fire resistant and backed by a lifetime limited warranty. In addition, each product features patented STUDfinder™ technology for precise and accurate installation.
