LOS ANGELES , January 29, 2014 () – The specialty chemical packaging division of U.K.-based Chesapeake Ltd. has been purchased by French private equity group Céréa Partenaire and French public finance and business development group Bpifrance, Insider Media reported on Jan. 29.

The division being purchased is headquartered in Crewe, England, with facilities in the UK, France and Hungary.

Chesapeake has been a part of The Carlyle Group since July 2013, and was previously owned by U.S. private equity funds Irving Place Capital and Oaktree Capital Management since 2009.
