LONDON , January 24, 2014 () – US-based beverage Company PepsiCo has filed a patent claim over its Russkiy Dar kvass brand in Russia. In its lawsuit the company has alleged that Russian retailer X5's recently registered Russkiy Kvass brand has too many similarities to Russkiy Dar's label design and marketing. Both the companies source their products from Russia's kvass producer OAO Deka. A hearing has been scheduled for PepsiCo's claim in the month ending January 31. However, X5 declined to comment.
