The yearbook looks back at companies’ sustainability performance in 2013 and ranks them as Gold, Silver or Bronze. Electrolux received the highest rating of the ten companies assessed within the Household Durables industry and consequently also the Gold Class award.

“To reach our vision of being the best appliance company in the world, we also need to be leading in sustainability,” said Henrik Sundström, Vice President Group Sustainability Affairs at Electrolux. “We are proud to be rated as the industry leader in the Sustainability Yearbook, as more companies have been assessed this year and the requirements for inclusion are becoming more stringent continuously.”

RobecoSAM said in the yearbook it had measured companies based on their sustainability performance in three dimensions: economic, environmental and social. “Innovation, quality, and branding are key differentiating factors for companies in this industry.
