January 14, 2014 (Paint and Resin Times) – The hubergroup has developed a new universal UV offset ink that incorporates the properties of NewV maxX, a range of various UV inks. This universal UV ink range avoids confusion, high storage cost and mixing of inks related to switching different inks back and forth during printing. The new material is suitable for paper, card stocks and non-absorbent substrates. It also features high performance, easy washup and simple handling. The inks are ideal for printing metallized papers and card stocks used in perfume, cosmetics and spirits packaging due to its high level of transparency. The new material and classic UV film ink have similar adhesion properties on plastic materials like PE, PP, PS and PVC. However, NewV maxX displays higher rub resistance for non-absorbent substrates compare with UV film inks. The range also includes a series of basic PANTONE colours, a UV opaque white and CRS mixed colours.
