Sales value of household appliances in China up 16.2% in November, data shows

BEIJING , December 20, 2013 () – Sales value of household appliances and furniture of 3,000 key retailers monitored by MOFCOM in November was up by 16.2% and 14.6% respectively, 16 and 6.5 percentage point quickened year on year.

China's communications equipment sales increase by 39.8% year on year in November, and the growth rate was 24.6 percentage points higher over a year ago, according to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

From January to November, total retail sales of consumer goods cumulated to grow 13%. Of which, urban consumption growth was 13.6% in November, 0.5 percentage points higher than the previous month.

January to November, China's export of electromechanical products totaled USD 1.14789 trillion, showing an increase of 7.9 %, and accounted for 57.3% of China's total exports. High-tech exports recorded USD 599.27 billion, increasing 11.1%.
