DALLAS , December 19, 2013 (press release) – Fusion Packaging recently collaborated with skin care brand Apriori Beauty to package the brand’s latest product, PSR Next Celloxylin®. Fusion utilized its patented airless bottle, STU, winner of the coveted World Star Packaging Award, the pre-eminent international award recognizing innovation in packaging. The STU bottle features a square design that releases a pop-up actuator when twisted to eliminate spills and leaks while the bottle is in its locked position.

Apriori Beauty’s Principal Manager, Elizabeth Vervynk, said the brand selected the STU bottle because, “PSR Next is an exceptional product, as well as one of our personal favorites, so we wanted to pick a component that was equal in caliber.” Further, she noted that STU won out because “it’s beautiful, substantial, and equal to the quality of the product we wanted to put in it.”

The STU bottle’s unique design does not require an overcap, which makes the bottle ideal for travel and eliminates an extra component from the manufacturing and shipping process. The STU bottle is double walled, allowing for maximum decorating capabilities, and is available in 15 ml, 30 ml and 50 ml capacities. Apriori chose the 30 ml capacity and opted for a clean, clinical and luxurious look with a silver UV metallized actuator and shiny silver hotstamp on the clear outer wall with a white inner bottle.

Vervynk said the bottle compliments the brand, “with its airless technology and clean design, along with the metallic actuator, which adds to its high-end appeal.” Not only does the function stand out, but the feel of the package was an important factor. “It looks as good as it feels in your hand, plus it’s weighted just right to feel significant at the same time,” said Vervynk. “We loved the rounded corners with the square design. We weren’t surprised that it was also award winning.”

Apriori Beauty, describes itself as “a company created for women, by women.” The skin care brand strives to make women feel beautiful inside and out, and wanted packaging that would support its overall identity. The second generation PSR Next is a treatment used to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, but is also popular as a daily moisturizer. The product features double the standard amount of anti-wrinkle peptides to ensure potency yet still nourishes skin, evening skintone and leaving it more visibly radiant. PSR Next is clinically proven to reduce the look of wrinkles by more than 60% in just 28 days.
