Dow Performance Packaging, partnering consultancy receive award from Communication Director Magazine for 'IN: A Perspective on Global Packaging by Dow' publication that focuses on global market trends, consumer preferences, future design

MIDLAND, Michigan , December 16, 2013 (Chemical Business Newsbase (Press Release Abstracts)) – Dow Performance Packaging along with FTI Consulting Brussels were named the recipients of the "External Publication" Award from Communication Director Magazine for their joint development of "IN: A Perspective on Global Packaging by Dow". The recognition was received at the annual European Excellence Awards ceremony held 5 Dec 2013 in Munich, Germany.

Dow Performance Packaging business introduced "IN" this October at K 2013, the world's largest plastics trade show held every three years in Dusseldorf, Germany, to provide a thought piece for the packaging industry that spoke more to global market trends, consumer preferences, and future design than product tech sheets, scientific case studies and material R&D. IN stood out from typical promotional literature being distributed at K 2013 thanks to its combination of sophisticated and creative design, in-depth analysis, and human-inspired stories that touched on all areas of the packaging value chain.

Following the successful launch at K 2013, this first edition of IN will be distributed at upcoming trade fairs including InterPack 2014 in Dusseldorf in May 2014. It is also available for download as an App on the Apple iTunes store and as a PDF on the Dow Packaging website. IN will be available in Chinese shortly and preparations for a Japanese version are ongoing.
