Coca-Cola India announces opening of 1.35B rupee greenfield bottling plant in Chatta, Uttar Pradesh, India

November 29, 2013 () – Coca-Cola India has opened its new Rup 135 crore greenfield bottling plant at Chatta, Uttar Pradesh that will cater to nine districts of Western Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Madhya Pradesh. The plant is owned by Brindavan Agro Industries, Coca-Cola's oldest and largest franchise bottler in India. Between 1993 and 2011, Coca-Cola has invested $2 bn in India and plans to add $5 bn-worth of investments by 2020. (1 crore=10 M, 1 lakh=100,000).
