LOS ANGELES , November 27, 2013 () – According to a report from the Maricopa County, Arizona, Public Health Department, lettuce supplied by Midwest Beef was the likely cause of an E. coli outbreak this summer that was linked to a Federico's Mexican Restaurant in Phoenix, The Packer reported Nov. 26.

Nearly 100 people were confirmed with E. coli in late July and early August, but no deaths were linked to the outbreak, the report said.
