November 19, 2013 () – News: US-based fast-food chain Subway has remodelled its 300 stores in the UK with its new Metropolitan décor. The chain aims to compete with upscale competitors, as the upscale décor enhances the brand and elevates the customer experience, according to Subway. The chain opened a new outlet within the Middlesex University Student Union in partnership with UK-based food services company Compass Group on October 1. The company aims to target university students by providing new offerings that work within the student union. Subway has more than 300 stores open or in development in non-traditional locations.
